A brand new dealership for API professional audio products has just opened in Los Angeles that is something of a departure from the average retail outlet. Run by working professionals, Westwave Audio, Inc. offers one-on-one assistance (by appointment only) during weekday evenings at its Burbank demo facility. Westwave Audio places great emphasis on education, holding informative seminars and producing an ongoing series of podcasts on all aspects of music recording and audio post-production.
Established by audio post-production mixer, editor and company president, Mike Rodriguez, Westwave Audio offers personal demonstrations of the entire range of API audio equipment including the DSM turnkey console-in-a-rack solutions, the 200 Series rack-mounted modules, and the company's classic 500 Series modules. Prospective customers are encouraged to bring their own projects and spend quality hands-on time working with the API products in Westwave's Pro Tools-equipped studio.
To further promote the benefits of API's high-end analog audio products in a plug-in world, Westwave Audio is offering weekend seminars to demonstrate useful tips and techniques. The schedule for the Saturday seminars, which are free, is available on the Westwave website www.westwaveaudio.com.
In addition, Westwave Audio is sponsoring and producing an ongoing series of informative podcasts. AudioNowcast's panel of industry professionals discusses everything from mixing to sound editing, and from sound design to song writing.
