"I bought my first API 3124 four channel preamp in 2008 and have been sold on the API sound and customer service ever since."
"I built my own custom maple recording desk to house my API Box Console and my rack gear, providing an additional 10 channels of API preamps, a 5500 dual EQ, and a 2500 bus compressor. With a few additional preamps, compressors, and a 16 channel Apogee Symphony I/O interface, we have the ability to record world class acoustic guitars with a totally world class recording chain."
Scott owns Baxendale Guitar, in Athens, Georgia where he builds his own line of custom handmade guitars and also teaches the art and skills of lutherie in his Baxendale Luthier Academy. As part of his teaching, he has perfected the remanufacturing of vintage department store guitars into world class sounding instruments, which have become known in their own right as highly regarded guitars.
Between Scott's handmade guitars and the remanufactured guitars, he uses his home studio for recording. His clients include The Drive-by Truckers, Luther Dickinson, Wilco, REM, Widespread Panic, Buddy Miller, Brothers Osborne, Lera Lynn, and many others. His guitars can be found in many top studios around the country.
