Curb Records orders 108 Input API Legacy AXS Console

Blog

February 2020: Jessup, MD:
When Curb Records made the decision to replace their existing console in their busy Music Row facility, they turned to consultant Rob Dennis of Rack-N-Roll Audio in Nashville for input. With 20 plus years of experience with API, and having recommended the Legacy Plus console for Zac Brown's studio, Southern Ground Artists, the decision was easy: an API Legacy AXS console with enough power and features to meet the demands of one of the busiest studios in Nashville.

The new console is currently in production to meet a late June commissioning date in the newly updated control room. Featuring 48 dual input channels, each with Mic Pre and EQ, it will be one of the most heavily equipped 48 channel AXS consoles ever built by API. Fitted with API's Final TouchTM motorized fader automation, the Curb console features a total of 108 inputs to the four main stereo mix buses.

"In Nashville a great tracking room and an API console has always been a winning combination," says Rob Dennis, President of Rack-N-Roll Audio. "Curb has been a great client since I started Rack-N-Roll in 1997. I'm excited to add yet another great API room to the Nashville recording community."

API Director of Engineering Todd Humora added, "It's really gratifying to see a broad acceptance of the API sound in Nashville. So many of the major tracking rooms are now featuring large format API consoles, and there are 2448's, 1608's and THE BOX Consoles literally everywhere around the area. Nashville is truly an API Town!"
