"My first experience with API was with the 3124+ pre amps. I had all sorts of other options at the time, but I was always happy with the results I got from the API pres. Next was the 2500 bus compressor. I don't care if I am living on the street—I'm never getting rid of that compressor. It's exactly what I want. Aggressive, but flexible, and perfectly reactive for all kinds of sources.
"Then, Greg Gerardi (studio partner and engineer) joined up with us and brought in the 1608. I couldn't be happier. It's so flexible for routing and the sound is completely open with that API attitude. I love recording dynamic, heavy music and the 1608 feels like it was made for me.
"I love API!"
