Renowned slide guitar/blues musician Sonny Landreth just released his new album, Recorded Live in Lafayette. The album not only features live versions of some of his best studio tracks played by Landreth and his band, but was also recorded on an API 48-channel 1608 (the same console was used on a recent U2 album). Producer and Engineer Tony Daigle recorded the tracks for the album at Landreth's live show at the Acadiana Center for the Arts this past January, and also mixed the record.
In the acknowledgements of Recorded Live, Landreth thanks API President Larry Droppa "for making available the magic of a very special API 48-channel 1608 recording console."
We think thanks are in order to Sonny Landreth for adding another impressive album to the 1608 track record.
