Overview

The API Visionary Scholarship program is offered by Automated Processes Incorporated in order to encourage further education in the professional audio arts. API believes that academic excellence in sound training can be facilitated by using high quality analog equipment in the audio lab. Use of such equipment will not only enhance the learning experience but produce graduates with an enhanced understanding of the advantages of analog audio in today's music production environments. Scholarships are worth up to $2,000 each.

Eligibility

Applicants must be accepted and enrolled at any of the following higher education facilities that have a primary recording studio featuring an API Vision, API 1608, or API Legacy Plus console:

To Apply

Applicants will write an essay (300 words) on the application and strength of analog audio for producing recordings. Applicants are encouraged to supply a recording that he or she has been personally involved in recording or producing. Applications will be available online, and the application deadline is April 1 of each year. Scholarships are announced June 30.
