In an article published in 2002 featuring a Provo Utah studio called June Audio, Owner and Chief Engineer Scott Wiley stated that his dream was to own an API console for his studio. Some 12 years later, that dream has become a reality!
The new June Audio facility has now opened with a fully fitted 32 Channel API 2448 console. The console features API's Final TouchTM moving fader Automation System and is fitted into custom millwork designed and built by Tony Brett of Brett Acoustics.
Scot and Sarah Wiley (Sarah runs the day to day operation) began consulting with Wes Lachot over 10 years ago for the new 3 room facility, ultimately choosing to build from the ground up in a dedicated, purpose built building.
According to Wes Lachot, studio designer, "The API 2448 was the clear and best choice for June Audio's A room, and we couldn't be happier with the the results."
"When Wes designs a new room for a client, he generally prefers to recommend an API console, whether it be a Vision for Manifold Studios, a Legacy for Deep River Sound, or a 2448 for this fantastic June Audio facility," said Dan Zimbelman, API Director of Sales. "I think he does this because he really believes in our technology, superior sonic performance, features set, and investment value. We're honored to be a part of his fantastic studios and clientele".
June Audio focuses on recording music projects and early clients include John Legend and Bonnie Raitt, along with a diverse client list of regional and national acts.
