Pinch Recording has purchased and commissioned an API 2448 console with the sale facilitated by Jeff Leibovich of Vintage King. This fully-loaded, automated 32 channel console is the first 2448 to be installed in New York City.
"The new API 2448 console does not disappoint," says studio owner and Engineer Scott Lindner. "The console provides exactly what you are after with API products—punchy low end and a beautiful, smooth texture that wraps you up in a warm sonic blanket of goodness. It provides such routing flexibility with the 8 busses, 4 stereo returns, and small fader paths that it is the perfect console for the modern age. It offers the analog warmth we all crave, with the ability to interface with modern digital products, creating a comfortable and professional workflow."
API President Larry Droppa adds, "As a company, API is gratified by the continuing success of the 2448 console. Commercial studios like Pinch Recording deserve the best in analog gear and API is happy to provide it."
