Large Format Consoles in Production at API

Two large format consoles are currently in build at API's headquarters. Production is busy working on a 48 channel frame Legacy AXS, that will be loaded initially with 32 channels, along with an on-board patch bay. The console is for MIME (Made In Memphis Entertainment), a new music label, production company, and publishing group that just opened its doors last month in Memphis, TN.

Almost through its early stages of build is the 32 channel Vision console for Kent State University at Stark. The console will serve as an integral part of the school's Music Technology program, and the staff couldn't be happier that the Vision has met all of their needs.

"As I began exploring our options, it seemed compromise would be inevitable. But that is not the case with the Vision," says Ian Anderson of Kent State University at Stark's Music Technology and Audio Recording programs. "Audio quality, build quality, automation, DAW control, recall, surround capability, price, warranty. It's all there. The API Vision is, quite simply, a console without compromise."

Progress on these two consoles is moving along quickly, as several other large format consoles are set to move into production in the coming weeks.
