College Magazine recently released their list of the top 10 schools for Music Recording Technology and Audio Design, and several schools that made the grade prominently feature API consoles in their programs. Among them are Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU), Blackbird Academy, and Berklee College of Music, with the latter schools topping the list.
- MTSU offers a wealth of courses in Audio Production, Music Industry, and Entertainment Technology, supported by quality facilities and studios, one of which features an API Vision console.
- Founded by John and Martina McBride, Blackbird Academy in Nashville offers students hands-on engineering experiences in professional studios. Blackbird Studio's control rooms also offer the advantage of a 1608 and two Legacy Plus consoles (one of which, at 96 channels, is the largest ever built).
- Berklee College of Music touts a total of six API consoles, four Legacy Pluses that primarily support the acclaimed Music Production and Engineering program, and two recently added 1608 consoles that serve the Electronic Production and Design department.
Congratulations to these schools on the recognition of their excellent programs. For a full list of higher education facilities that feature API consoles, see our scholarships page.
